Consul General Tan Banglin Meets with Prince Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud,Governor of Makkah Province

     On July 18, 2018, Consul General Tan Banglin paid a courtesy call on Prince Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud, Governor of Makkah Province.

    Consul General Tan thanked His Highness Prince Khalid for taking time to meet with him, said that he felt honored to perform his duties in Jeddah. Tan expressed his willingness to work together with the Saudi Arabian side to actively promote the in-depth development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two sides.

    Prince Khalid welcomed Consul General Tan to assume the new post and expressed his willingness to support the Consul General in performing duties as ever. Prince Khalid said that he followed news about China every day and admired China's rapid development and tremendous changes. He also highly praised that China-Saudi Arabia relations had developed rapidly after the exchange of visits between the heads of two countries, pointed out that the cooperation in various fields such as politics and economy had yielded fruitful results.

    Consul General Tan said that more than 10,000 Chinese Muslims would come to Makkah for hajj in this year, he hoped that the government of Makkah Province to take effective measures to ensure the safety and convenience of Chinese hajjis. Prince Khalid said it was glorious responsibility for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide good services to hajjis from all over the world and to ensure the safety of hajj.
