On February 24, 2026, the Chinese Consulate General in Jeddah held a grand Iftar dinner and a farewell reception for the Chinese Consul General Wang Qimin. Chinese Consul General Wang Qimin attended and delivered a speech. More than 100 people attended, including representatives of Saudi government agencies, consuls general from various countries, representatives of overseas Chinese from various ethnic groups in the consular district, and friends of China.

Wang extended Ramadan greetings to the guests, fondly recalled the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Saudi Arabia in recent years, and expressed his gratitude to all sectors of the consular district for their long-term support of the Chinese Consulate General's work. Wang stated that 2026 is the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Saudi Arabia. The second China-Arab States Summit will be held in China, which will undoubtedly inject new and strong impetus into the development of China-Saudi Arabia relations. The Chinese Consulate General will contribute to the continued deepening of China-Saudi Arabia friendship and the building of a China-Saudi Arabia community with a shared future.
