On February 12, 2026, Chinese Consul General Wang Qimin paid a farewell visit to Muhammad bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami, Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA).

Wang thanked the Union for its long-term and valuable cooperation with the Chinese Consulate General in areas such as cultural exchanges and media relations, and expressed his hope that the Union would continue to play its role as a bridge and link, making new and greater contributions to enhancing friendly exchanges and people-to-people bonds between China and Islamic Countries.

Yami expressed his reluctance to see Wang leave, stating that the Union would continue to closely monitor China's economic and social development achievements and strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Chinese media, taking concrete actions to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the  Islamic Countries and Chinese people.
