On May 14th 2025, Consul General in Jeddah Wang Qimin, met with Secretary of the Municipality of Jeddah Saleh Al-Turki.

Wang Qimin stated that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Saudi Arabia relations have deepened and developed rapidly in recent years, yielding fruitful outcomes. China is willing to take the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to continuously expand the potential of local cooperation, achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, and inject new momentum into the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Saudi Arabia.

Saleh briefed on the developments in Jeddah’s municipal construction and spoke highly of the outstanding contributions made by Chinese enterprises over the years in supporting Jeddah’s infrastructure development and construction. He expressed Saudi Arabia’s willingness to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with China in areas such as urban development and environmental governance, and to continuously explore new cooperation opportunities.
