On January 14, 2025, Consul General in Jeddah Wang Qimin met Dr. Abdulfattah bin Sulaiman Mashat Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia during the 2025 Hajj Expo.

Wang Qimin thanked the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for its  support to Chinese pilgrims over the years. 2025 coincides with the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Saudi Arabia and China-Saudi Arabia Cultural Year. It is hoped that China and Saudi Arabia will take this opportunity to work together to continuously improve the level of service and guarantee and deliver a satisfactory answer to the annual Hajj service work.

Dr. Mashat introduced the preparations for the Saudi government's Hajj service this year, and said that the Saudi side attaches great importance to the safety and various guarantee work of Chinese pilgrims, and is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with China to provide better services for Chinese pilgrims.
