On August 12, Acting Consul General in Jeddah Zhang Weikang was invited to attend Promotional Conference for the 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF). More than 100 people attended the conference, including Liu Daling, General Manager of Shenzhen Press Group, representatives of Jeddah Chamber, overseas Chinese groups and Saudi medias.

In his speech, Acting Consul General Zhang Weikang emphasized the great significance and important measures of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, saying that the plenary session sent a clear signal to the outside world that China will expand high-level opening up and promote Chinese modernization, which will provide new impetus for the sustainable development of China-Saudi Arabia relations and local cooperation between the two countries. He hoped that ICIF would seize the opportunity and actively participate in the construction of the China-Saudi Arabia cultural exchange and cooperation mechanism, and make new contributions to promoting the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and promoting local cooperation between the two countries.

Liu Daling expressed the willingness to jointly promote cultural industry exchanges and cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia and help the rapid development of the China-Saudi Arabia comprehensive strategic partnership.
