On February 3, 2026, Consul General in Jeddah Wang Qimin paid a farewell visit to Fareed Al-Shehri, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in Makkah Region.

Consul General Wang expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in Makkah Region for its long-term support, noting that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, political mutual trust between the two countries has been continuously enhanced in recent years, people-to-people exchanges have become increasingly close, and bilateral pragmatic cooperation has yielded fruitful results. Wang emphasized that 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-Saudi Arabia comprehensive strategic partnership, and the second China-Arab States Summit and China-GCC Summit will be held in China. He hoped that both sides would seize this opportunity to jointly write a new chapter in China-Saudi Arabia friendly cooperation.
