On May 5th 2025，Consul General in Jeddah Wang Qimin traveled to Medina to welcome the first group of Chinese pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia. The delegation was also greeted by Mu Kefa, Head of the Chinese Hajj Mission and Vice President of China Islamic Association, along with Ma Zhongping, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Association.

Wang Qimin expressed hope that all pilgrims would conduct their Hajj activities in an orderly manner, cooperate with the organizational management of the general group for Hajj work from China, strictly abide by the local laws and regulations of Saudi Arabia, and showcase the positive image of Chinese citizens. Consulate General in Jeddah will assist the general group for Hajj work in providing meticulous consular protection and services for everyone.

Chinese pilgrims will soon arrive in Saudi Arabia in batches via chartered flights from various regions across China to begin their annual Hajj journey.
