From August 15 to 23, Consulate-General in Jeddah, in conjunction with the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, organized a visit to Xinjiang by representatives of young overseas Chinese from Xinjiang in the consular district.

The group strolled through the ancient city of Kashgar, where millennia of history converge. At the Folk Musical Instrument Village in Shufu County, artisans' exquisite craftsmanship preserved the fusion of multi-ethnic cultures. The shimmering waters of Sayram Lake reflected effective ecological conservation efforts. The starry night over the Nalati Grassland formed a stunning backdrop for their journey of roots. At the Autonomous Region Museum, the group listened to lectures on the governance strategies of Xinjiang throughout Chinese dynasties. At Xinjiang Normal University, the group experienced the essence of traditional culture through lectures and demonstrations of calligraphy, paper-cutting, and tea art.

This visit, the first organized within the consular district in many years, allowed the delegation to experience Xinjiang's magnificent natural beauty and remarkable economic and social development achievements through sightseeing in the region's natural and cultural landscapes, inspiring a deep affection for their motherland. During the visit, the delegation also enjoyed a heartwarming reunion with family members in Xinjiang.
