On March 27, 2025, the Chinese Consulate General in Jeddah host Eid al-Fitr reception of 2025. Acting Consul General Zhang Weikang attended and delivered a speech. Nearly 100 representatives of Muslim overseas Chinese, overseas students and others in the consular district attended.

Acting Consul General Zhang Weikang extended Ramadan greetings and good wishes to overseas Chinese in the consular district, and promoted the spirit of the 2025 National Two Sessions, pointing out that this year's two sessions sent a clear signal to the outside world that China will promote in-depth reforms, expand high-level opening up, and seek high-quality development. Walking with China is walking with opportunities. Zhang affirmed the fine tradition of unity, friendship, patriotism and love for religion of Muslim overseas Chinese in the consular district for many years, and hoped that the majority of overseas Chinese would tell the Chinese story well on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Saudi Arabia, and make new and greater contributions to the continued development of China-Saudi Arabia friendly relations.

The delegates thanked the Consulate General for its care and concern, and expressed that they would continue to work down-to-earth, unite and forge ahead to gather the hearts of overseas Chinese, and continue to contribute to Chinese-style modernization and China-Saudi Arabia friendship.
