On January 16, 2025, Consulate General in Jeddah hosted 2025 Chinese New Year Reception. Consul General Wang Qimin attended and delivered a speech. More than 300 representatives of overseas Chinese, Chinese institutions, teachers and international students in the consular district attended.

In his speech, Consul General Wang extended New Year greetings to overseas Chinese in the consular district, introduced the achievements of domestic economic and social development, reviewed the exchanges and cooperation in various fields between China and Saudi Arabia in 2024, thanked the compatriots in the consular district for their hard work in promoting the development of bilateral relations, and said that the Consulate General will always practice the concept of "diplomacy for the people" and provide everyone with higher quality consular services.

The representatives wished the motherland prosperity and peace, and expressed that they would turn the motherland's condolences into motivation and make greater contributions to China-Saudi friendship.

During the reception, the Consulate General distributed "heart-warming packages" to the guests. The Henan Songshan Shaolin Wushu Vocational College presented a martial arts performance, and overseas Chinese and international students performed dances, music and other programs of Chinese traditions. The meeting was wonderful and the atmosphere was warm.
