On October 28, at the invitation of Saudi Arabian Airlines, Consul General Wang Qimin in Jeddah attended the inaugural flight ceremony of Saudi Arabian Airlines' Jeddah-Dammam-Beijing route at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. Mr. Wail Basaffar the Assistant Vice President of KSA Sales at Saudia, and Engr. Mohammed Al-Hassany CEO of Dammam Airport Company attended the ceremony.

Consul General Wang congratulated Saudi Arabian Airlines on the opening of the new route. Wang said that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was successfully held recently. China will further deepen reforms in an all-round way and promote high-quality development and high-level opening up to the outside world, which will inject new impetus into China-Saudi Arabia cooperation. It is believed that the adjusted Jeddah-Dammam-Beijing route will continue to promote the deepening and expansion of practical cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia in various fields, provide more convenience for personnel exchanges between the two countries, and make positive contributions to the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" between China and Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Wail said that Saudi Arabian Airlines attaches great importance to developing business with China. After the opening of the new route, it will surely promote the local cooperation between the eastern and western regions of Saudi Arabia and China, and strengthen cultural exchanges between the two countries.
