Consul General Tan said that OIC played an active role in international affairs as the most important intergovernmental organisation in the Islamic world, China kept a good cooperative relationship with OIC. Tan expressed that the Chinese Consulate General in Jeddah was willing to establish a good relationship with OIC and work together to promote the friendly and cooperative relations between China and OIC as well as its member states.

    Secretary General Yousef welcomed Consul General Tan to visit OIC. He indicated that OIC attached importance to China's influence as a major power, and positively evaluated China's important and positive role in international affairs. He appreciated China's humanitarian assistance to Syria, Yemen, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq and other OIC member states, as well as China's objective position to the above problems. Secretary General Yousef highly commented on China's positive economic contribution to the African member states of OIC, emphasizing that OIC and its member states were willing to continuously strengthen their friendly relations and cooperation with China.
