Q: According to reports, Tanzania’s National Electoral Commission released official results of the presidential election on October 30 showing incumbent President John Pombe Joseph Magufuli winning another term with 84.3 percent of the vote. Does China have any comment?

A: China extends congratulations to President Magufuli on winning another term. We believe that under his leadership, Tanzania will make greater progress in national development. We look forward to enhancing cooperation with the new Tanzanian government to bring bilateral relations to a new height.
